Growing Through Questioning

Questions shouldn’t just be reserved for when you are trying to sell. They should be when you are attempting to learn more. That means asking, whether in sales training or other environments, because the answers provided will go beyond the text in front of you.

Often, people don’t want to ask too many questions. What a mistake that is.

Questions feed not only the questioner, but also the instructor. Sometimes, there are things that the instructor hasn’t thought of, which gets raised when different questions get asked.

We’ve become a society of acceptability. The assumption that everything that we need to know is in front of us, in a text, or video, or picture. The truth is far from that assumption, as questions draw out tracks of thought that weren’t there prior.

Questioning is smart, and it helps create more answers. And potentially more questions that no one has thought of yet.
